Storyteller | Strategic Communicator | Champion for Equity in Sport

ABOUT ANN
I’m a Ugandan-Australian storyteller, strategist, and advocate who has spent the past 20 years championing the voices of women in football and culturally diverse communities across the world.

I believe that good storytelling paired with effective strategy is one of the most powerful forces for change. When stories are told with care, context, and purpose — and supported by intentional communication — they don’t just inform; they influence.
They shift perceptions, shape policies, and create space for voices that have long been unheard. Whether leading communications for a World Cup legacy program or developing strategies for national football teams, I’ve seen firsthand how narrative can move people — and systems — forward.

"Be the change you wish to see in the world"

My journey began in my teens, driven by a deep love for the portraits within the game — the moments of resilience, joy, struggle, and triumph that define women’s football. Over time, my camera and pen became tools for capturing both history-making events and the quiet, powerful moments that often go unseen.

Football has taken me across continents and cultures — from the global stage of four FIFA Women’s World Cups, a FIFA Men’s World Cup, five AFC Asian Cups, and three Olympic Games, to the grassroots fields of Sydney, Tokyo, São Paulo, Vancouver, Paris, Hanoi, Bogotá, and Boston.

Through every lens, story, and strategy, my mission remains the same: To amplify the power, passion, and lived experiences of women in sport — especially those from underrepresented backgrounds — and to reflect their stories in all their richness, complexity, and authenticity.

If you’re building something bold, inclusive, and meaningful — let’s shape the story together.
